Writing the case study
After this you can write a case study that survives a thirty-second scan and rewards a five-minute read.
Why it matters
Case studies are scanned, not read, so structure for both: a headline stating the problem and outcome, then process depth below for those who continue. Lead with the problem and your role. Show the messy middle (the rejected option, the finding that broke your plan), because that is the evidence of judgement everything else lacks. Cut process theatre: nobody needs your double-diamond diagram or a persona with a stock photo. Write in your own voice; a generic register reads as having nothing specific to say. Trap: length. Most beginner case studies are three times too long and still omit the reasoning.
