Choosing a research method
After this you can pick an appropriate research method for a given question and explain why the alternatives were wrong for it.
Why it matters
The skill is matching method to question, not running every method. Attitudinal versus behavioural, qualitative versus quantitative, and where interviews, surveys, diary studies, analytics and usability tests sit on those axes. Internalise one rule: asking people what they would do predicts behaviour badly, so prefer methods that observe. This is also a reliable interview question ('how would you research X'), and a good answer names a method *and* its limitation. Trap: running a survey because it is easy, when you have no idea yet what to ask.
