Reading analytics and measuring design impact after launch
After this you can combine product analytics with qualitative follow-up to say whether a shipped design worked, and present the result without overclaiming.
Why it matters
After launch, analytics tell you what happened and research tells you why; seniors use both. Learn to read a funnel and a cohort chart, to check whether a change in a metric coincides with your release or with something else (seasonality, a marketing push, a bug), and to follow a surprising number with five quick user conversations. Then learn to present impact in terms leadership cares about (time saved, errors avoided, revenue or retention protected), while being explicit about confidence. Trap: attributing every improvement after launch to your design. Say what you can and cannot separate.
