Presenting design work to executives
After this you can present design work to senior leadership in ten minutes: the decision you need, the evidence, the trade-off, and the ask (answer first).
Why it matters
Executives evaluate design work through risk, cost, strategy and time, and they decide fast. The format that works is the inverse of a case study: lead with the recommendation and the decision you need from them, then the evidence, then the design only as far as it supports the argument. Prepare for the question that sinks most design presentations: 'what happens if we don't do this?' Trap: walking leadership through your process chronologically. They will stop you at slide four, and the decision will be made without the part you cared about.
