Capstone: a design strategy that changes what gets built
After this you have written a design strategy for a real organisation and can show what it changed.
Why it matters
Brief: for the organisation or product line you work in (or a non-profit or open-source project you have standing in), produce the strategy described in the phase evidence. Required: (1) a diagnosis: a UX maturity assessment against the four factors, a quality audit of the current product, and interviews with at least five leaders across product, engineering and the business; (2) a vision artifact concrete enough to react to; (3) three to five bets, each with rationale, cost, what it displaces, and a measure; (4) pitch at least one bet to the people who fund work, and record the outcome. Constraints: base the diagnosis on evidence you can show; name what the strategy deliberately does not address. It is good when a leader outside design can explain the strategy's bets in their own words, and when at least one bet is funded or on the roadmap.
