Service design and blueprinting beyond the screen
After this you can map a service end to end (frontstage, backstage and supporting processes) and show where a problem the product team was handed actually originates.
Why it matters
Many product problems are not interface problems: the delay is in a back-office process, the confusion comes from an email sent by another team, the failure is a policy. Service design looks at the whole service across channels and staff, and the service blueprint is its core artifact: user actions, frontstage interactions, backstage actions and support processes, aligned in time. Seniors use it to redirect effort to where it will pay off. Trap: blueprinting from assumptions in a workshop. Like journey maps, a blueprint is only as good as the research and staff interviews behind it.
