The app critique round
After this you can critique an unfamiliar product for 20 minutes with structure, specificity and balance.
Why it matters
Common at large product companies. Use a repeatable lens rather than free-associating: who is this for and what is the business goal, then walk a core flow against the usability heuristics, then visual craft, then what you would change and how you would validate it. Be specific and fair: name what works before what fails, and tie every criticism to a user or business consequence rather than to preference. This is where your heuristics work pays off directly. Trap: pure negativity, which reads as junior; and critiquing a product you have never opened.
How to use this resource
A clear, memorable structure from someone who has run these rounds. This is the framework to internalise.
