Building and curating the portfolio site
After this you have a published portfolio whose homepage tells a reviewer within seconds what kind of designer you are.
Why it matters
The site is itself a design artifact and will be judged as one: a portfolio about clarity that is hard to navigate undermines its own argument. Keep it simple: who you are, what kind of work you want, two or three cases, contact. Curation is the real skill, and it is subtractive: your weakest piece sets your perceived level, so cut it. Free hosting is fine, and a plain fast site beats an elaborate slow one. Trap: spending three weeks on the site instead of on the case studies. Reviewers came for the thinking.
