Project: take ownership of a production asset
After this you own a production data asset that other teams depend on, with the tests, documentation and incident history to prove it.
Why it matters
Choose one dashboard, model set or recurring report that other teams use and that has no clear owner, or that you already maintain informally. Over at least three months: interview its consumers about what they use it for; write down metric definitions and caveats; add tests and freshness checks to its inputs; record lineage; review its access and the personal data it touches; and set an expectation for refresh times. When something breaks, run the incident properly and write the postmortem. At the end, ask a colleague to review the ownership pack and tell you whether they could take over.
