Project: write and deliver a decision document
After this you have written a decision document that a senior leader used to make a real decision, and presented it.
Why it matters
Find a decision your organisation faces in the next quarter where analysis could help: a pricing change, where to invest, whether to keep a feature. Offer to write the decision document. Agree the question and the decision maker up front. Draft, then get one trusted colleague to read only the first paragraph and tell you what they think you recommend; revise until they can. Present it in a short meeting, collect feedback and record the decision. Repeat with a shorter memo on a smaller question.
How to use this resource
Use its structure as a template for the longer document.
