Handling data incidents and writing blameless postmortems
After this you can respond to a data incident (assess impact, communicate, fix, verify) and write a blameless postmortem that prevents a repeat.
Why it matters
When a number is wrong in production, the response matters as much as the fix. Tell affected consumers quickly what is wrong and what not to rely on, fix and verify, then write a short postmortem: timeline, impact, root cause, why detection took as long as it did, and preventive actions. Blameless means focusing on how the system allowed the error, not who made it, so people report problems instead of hiding them.
