Decision documents and narrative memos
After this you can write a multi-page decision document that frames the problem, lays out options fairly, recommends one and states the risks.
Why it matters
For bigger decisions, a narrative document beats slides because sentences force you to state causal claims and connect them. Amazon's six-page narrative is the best-known example: read silently at the start of the meeting, then discussed. Lay out the context, the goals, two or three genuine options with trade-offs, your recommendation, and the risks. The trap is presenting a straw-man alternative; decision makers notice and trust the whole document less.
