Metrics strategy, goal setting and OKRs
After this you can design how metrics flow into goals and planning, write measurable key results, and run a metric review cadence that drives decisions.
Why it matters
A metrics strategy decides which numbers are reviewed by whom, how often, and what happens when they move. OKRs are the most common goal-setting framework; analytics leaders are usually the people who make key results measurable and honest. Build a regular business review where owners explain movements in their metrics using the metric tree. The traps are too many metrics, targets that reward gaming, and reviews that report numbers without decisions.
