Documentation, data dictionaries and reproducible analysis
After this you can write a data dictionary, document metric definitions and model assumptions, and structure an analysis so someone else can rerun it.
Why it matters
Six months from now you will not remember why you excluded those orders. Neither will the colleague who inherits your dashboard. Document metric definitions, sources, filters and known caveats where people will find them: in dbt descriptions, in the dashboard, in the README. The trap is documentation as a separate project that never happens; write it as you go, in the same repository.
