Building data culture and enablement
After this you can design an enablement programme that raises an organisation's data literacy, and recognise when 'data-driven' becomes a substitute for strategy.
Why it matters
Data culture is whether people ask good questions of data and change their minds because of it. It is built by making trustworthy data easy to find, teaching people to use it, celebrating decisions that changed because of evidence, and leaders modelling it. Be wary of the opposite failure, where 'data-driven' becomes an excuse to avoid judgement. Crystal Widjaja's work at Gojek is a strong example of data culture built deliberately.
