The security every web engineer is expected to know
After this you can explain and prevent the most common web vulnerabilities: injection, broken access control, XSS, CSRF and leaked secrets.
Why it matters
Security is not a separate job you hand off. The OWASP Top 10 lists the mistakes that cause most real breaches, and nearly all of them are ordinary coding errors: building SQL from strings, trusting client input, missing access checks, and secrets in code. Focus on understanding why each attack works, so you recognise the pattern in code you have never seen. Trap: thinking a framework makes you safe by default. It helps, until you bypass it once.
