The coding round: patterns, not memorisation
After this you can solve common easy and medium problems in about thirty minutes while explaining your thinking out loud.
Why it matters
You do not need to grind hundreds of problems for most generalist roles. Learn the dozen common patterns (two pointers, sliding window, hash map lookup, BFS and DFS, binary search, simple dynamic programming) and practise recognising them. Use the routine from Foundations: clarify, work examples, state the approach and its complexity, code, then test with your examples out loud. Trap: reading solutions without attempting the problem. Struggle for twenty minutes first.
