Deploying an application and its database
After this you can deploy a Node API, a frontend and a hosted Postgres database, connect them, and redeploy on every push.
Why it matters
An app that only runs on your laptop is not evidence of anything. Deployment is also where a category of bugs first appears: different environment variables, a different database, real network latency and CORS. Deploy early, as soon as the thin slice works, and redeploy often. Free tiers on Render, Vercel or Netlify plus a hosted Postgres (Neon or Supabase) are enough. Trap: leaving deployment to the end. 'Works locally, fails deployed' is a five-minute problem on day two and a two-day problem the night before you planned to finish.
How to use this resource
Short, official, and the free tier is enough for this project.
